Roasted at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in County Down.

Its consists of a finely tuned Columbian Ugandan Blend.

The Farms.

COLUMBIA - La Toma

This coffee comes from Cafetos de Segovia micromill, a labor of love from the Albir family. Sisters and owners Ana and Martha Albir inherited their passion for coffee from their father, who bought a coffee farm in 1991 and tended to it with dedication until political strife forced his family to leave the country and cease the day-to-day operations of the farm.

Origin: Colombia.
Region: Narino.
Farm: La Toma.
Process: Washed.
Variety: Castillo.
Altitude: 2200 masl.

Alvaro Francisco Santacruz Rodríguez is one such producer with an interesting background. Alvaro lived in North America and lived in San Francisco for 40 years, he went there to work and started out washing pools and ended up buying the whole company. After retiring he returned to Colombia and his three brothers and himself started the farm, La Toma. Their father had been a coffee producer, and although they all own the farm only Alvaro and Jore work on the farm.

They have learnt about coffee producing through talking to their neighbours, and visiting other farms. They have built a great infrastructure on their farm, and are well set up to succeed. They also have an unusual farm in its size of 13 hectares. La Toma is at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. They have a total of 44,000 trees with their most recent endeavour being 4000, 4 year old Geisha trees.

UGANDA - Bwindi Kingha Collective

This coffee is part of a new project with Kingha Estates outgrowers. Kingsley Griffin, the owner of Kingha Estate, is committed to working with local farmers to improve their income, and believes different processing protocols have the potential to increase quality. All coffees with the name Kingha Collective are coffees from small farms in Kinungu District, the same district as Kingha Estate.

Process: Washed.
Variety: SL-14, SL-28, SL-34.
Altitude: 1300-1550 masl.

Bwindi is in the same locality as Kingha Estate, where altitudes range from 1300 to 1600 masl. The cherries are purchased from the farmers and processed and dried at Kingha Estate, which has a wet mill that operates as a communal micro-washing station.

When blended to our exact specification.... we create a masterpiece!
